I can confirm that there is a Definitive footpath running between Cross Houses and Berrington, please see attached plan. This has been brought to our attention previously and we confirmed at that time that the route was a  legally recorded public right of way. I can confirm that  the Policy Team are aware of the error in the consultation report  and I understand that the issue will be corrected in a subsequent version of the Local Plan.

Any development at the Cattery would need to incorporate this route or at the most if affected it would need to be diverted under relevant legislation.

This is a key route within the vicinity and there are no grounds whatsoever to have it extinguished as it is clearly needed for public use.
